Was Hitler ever nice

Presumably, he was nice to his mother's doctor prior to her becoming deathly ill and he was Jewish. However, what matters is what Hitler believed and how he acted while he was seeking or had political power. During that period (1923-1945) he was quite antagonistic and "mean" to the Jews.

According to most historic books (and I have read A LOT of them) he was privately rather nice, a bit reserved, but rather jovial. Then he could orate a lot about how things where, sometimes for hours on end. He really loved his dog 'Blondie', a German Shepherd that he once received from Martin Bormann (I think). He was a bit taken aback by children but he loved them too, I think. Hitler may have been the main instigator behind a lot of atrocities and the mastermind behind the Holocaust, but he was always double-dealing by nature, as were most of his comrades in arms. Hermann Goering for example was the mastermind behind the conference at Wansee (although he did not participate himself in person) but privately he saved lives from the death camps. He once uttered the famous words: "I decide who is a Jew or not!" At the same time he could be very rude. Two persons in one you might say about these two gentlemen...

Neither his job, nor his interntion was to be 'nice'. He strived to build Germany up to be one of the leading nations in the world; he gave people jobs after a period of high unemployment, he did many good things for Nazis and Germans, you could see that as 'nice'. At the end he was very mean to the German people as he saw that they had let him and Germany down.
