There was very high mortality with the Bubonic Plague during 1348-1349. Never the less many patients did survive the deadly disease.

It was the Bubonic Plague (Black Death).
The three types of plague are: bubonic, septicemic, and pneumonic.

Purslane is a hardy plant that can survive mild winters, but it may not survive harsh winter conditions with freezing temperatures. It is best to protect purslane during the winter by covering it or bringing it indoors if possible.
The Bubonic plague effected society because there was no sewer lining and lots of people were dying and there wasn't much help that could be given.
It was called Black Death, Black Plaque and Bubonic Plaque.
