Nationalism is a form of government which puts the native people of that country first and focuses on industry. Nationalism is good when a country is having national identity issues or is in a depression.

yes because It encourages pride in yourself and your country, a sense of responsibility to it and the other people who live in it, responsibility to educate yourself and contribute to society, pay taxes, clean up after yourself, a sense of community and helping others, interest in history and preserving important buildings etc.

Nationalism still exists, and whether it is bad is a debate. It often depends on how you define it. Some define it as being attached to the nation where you reside... similar to a sense of patriotism. Others define it by saying that it is the belief that your loyalty to your nation comes before all other loyalties, or that it is the belief that your nation is better than all others.

It is in the loyalty definition or the idea that one nation is better than another where we run into problems. Nationalism can be bad if it encourages us to hate people in other nations or think of them as lesser beings, just because they were not born where we were. Any time we start discriminating based on country, that can be called Nationalism. For people who think that kind of discrimination is okay, then the answer as to whether it is bad or not would differ, but personally, I think that any kind of discrimination is bad, and that we should treat others, even others in other countries, as equals and learn to understand and respect each other.

Well, it depends on how you define Nationalism. Liking our country isn't bad at all, but when we start thinking we are better... that our country is the only good country and that people in other countries are bad... then we have a tendency to treat people from other countries poorly.

Then, if we go even further and think that our country should be in charge of all the other countries, and that those other people don't matter, then we are likely to start wars and not worry about killing or harming people in war.

So, that's why it can turn bad.

Nationalism can make a person have a closed mind about other nations and their people. It also allows the government to more easily control the opinions of civilians.
