No. Anyone who could afford to do so, put money away during their life to pay for the proper funeral rites after their death - admission to the afterlife was very important to Ancient Egyptions. During Old Kingdom Egypt, afterlife was a royal privilege only, in the New Kingdom Egypt the afterlife became available to all who could afford it
No, mummification was not exclusive to royalty. While it was most commonly practiced on pharaohs and other members of the royal family in ancient Egypt, individuals from various social classes could also be mummified if they could afford the process.
The mummies in Egypt were the Pharaohs, there wives, and children. Not a lot of people in Egypt could get mummified. Since it cost so much money to do it and there for only royalty were able to do it. Once in a while someone who was rich and wasn't royalty then they could don it because they would of had enough money to do so.
Because the certain number of people that were mummified were royal or had a lot of money.
No. Being mummified was very expensive in ancient Egypt. Only a privileged few people were mummified. These people would have been Pharaohs, priests or other really important people.
No gods or goddesses were mummified, usually only pharaohs and nobles (whose remains have survived).
No. As long as one can afford it then it's all good!
Because they are royalty.
Egyptians mummified the Pharaohs and other nobles, otherwise called embalming. Egyptians believed that life after death could only be achieved with the body still intact. However, they began to also embalm the bodies of peasants and other lower classed citizen due to their beliefs.
At first, only royalty was mummified, but the custom soon spread down to people in lower social classes, with even the poorest hoping for a chance at mummification after their death. Of course, the latter would have burials which were much less luxurious.

Archaeologists have found mummified rabbits with mummified royalty, indicating that there were, at one time, rabbits around the area of the Nile. However, in modern times, the only rabbit-like animal on record near the Nile is the Cape hare.
Ancient Egyptno, most of them were very poor so their families buried their dead in sand pits in the desert.
Only sometimes for ex. Nakht got mummified but his coffin wasn't the best the could be made. Most people in Egypt didn't get mummified if they were poor only the rich. In the later days everyone got mummified

No, they where not. Egyptians where mummified for a reason that it would preserve their bodies for people of the future to find and discover their secrets, as they thought language in the future would not be the same. Mummifying was only done to those citizens or royalty who had shown great achievement or progress in life, in doing so, they where mummified and put in crypts or in the Pyramids as we know today. You had to be fairly rich to be mummified and had to arrange it whilst you where still alive, it wasn't just like being put in a cemitary as we know it today. I hope this helps, if you want any more info. just message me. :)
Only pharaohs and other rich ancient Egyptians got to be mummified. It does happen accidentally sometimes.
No, only the very important, such as Pharaohs or people related to the king would be mummified.
Both poor and rich were mummified because if they were not then their bodies would rot. However, when they buried possessions with the body, rich people normally had shabtis to serve them in the afterlife. The rich also had better items than the poor people. Poor people were just wrapped in linen and buried. The rich would have tombs and coffins and priests would recite spells so that evil would not harm the rich on the way to their after-life. Only people who could afford this process would go through the mummification process. : )
