Yes. Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden sinned against God and died spiritually. Ever person since that time has be born spiritually dead and are sinful. God desires that the people he created come back to Him (Be born again). Jesus Christ came to earth as a human being and died on the cross of Calvary. By doing this He paid the price (He died in our place) so that we could come back to God. When we accept Jesus as our personal Savior we return back to God.

Yes.

Redemption means buying back, by payment of a ransom price.

Jesus bought us back from the slave market of sin. His blood was the ransom price which was paid to satisfy the claims of a holy and righteous God.

Christ prayed, My God, My God, because by this time God had turned his back on the Earth, to allow his will to be done. With Jesus taking on all sins in the flesh, God had turned his back and could no longer be viewed as the Father for this moment because God's son would be sinless.

How does Jesus accomplish the redemption of humality?

The word redeem means to buy back, especially of purchasing a slave with a view to his freedom. In the bible this word is used to talk about the deliverance by Christ of Christian Jews from the Law and its curse. Also it is used to talk about setting people free from the bondage of sin. From the begining of human history man rebelled against God, all people born since are sinners that is they don't have a relationship with God the creator and sustainer of life. God said the way for a person to restore his/her relationship with God was through a blood sacrifice. You can read about the history of Abraham and later the nation of Israel and the sacrifices made for sin, by them, in the Old Testament. Jesus came as the' lamb of God' and died a suitable sacrifice for the sin of all of mankind. Joh 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "There is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This redemption, buying back a 'slave to sin' is available to all people. 1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one who brings God and human beings together, the man Christ Jesus, 1Ti 2:6 who gave himself to redeem the whole human race. ................... A person must admit they don't have a relationship with God, they must believe God has made it possible (through Christ) for a them to put their relationship right with God and accept God's gift of eternal life through Christ. The alternative is eternal death.
