None of Charles Babbage's computers were built. He invented & designed them but failed to build them. You are probably thinking of the Analytical Engine, but as I said it was never built.
The first computing machine ever build was ABACUS.
The first electronic Computing machine was ENIAC.
The frist computer program written was for Charles Babbage's Analytical Engine by Lady Ada.
if you mean computer as we know them today, then no. those were developed after WW2
"Colossus". It was designed by Tommy Flowers of the British Post Office and built by the engineering team at Bletchley Park (in England) to help crack the Nazi "Fish ciphers" during World War II. There were 10 of them built before VE day, making it not only the first programmable electronic digital computer built but the first computer built in a quantity larger than one before 1952 (when the UNIVAC I went into production).
ABC, finished in 1942. Built by John Vincent Atanasoff & Clifford Barry in Ames, IA.
No, the 1977 Apple ][ was the first highly successful mass-produced personal computer, but not the first personal computer. >.< He He ^erm..this answer DOESN'T make sense!..srry.. =]
The first one they built was the Apple I, a machine running the MOSTEK 6502 microprocessor. The first computer that Steve used, I don't know.
