Titanic was not built bigger than Olympic. She enclosed her promenade deck, claiming more air and creating a little more gross tonnage, resulting in a larger classification, but she was the same size.
Yes, but not in length, width or height. She weighed more in gross tonnage. At 46,328 tonnes Titanic was the largest of the two.
No, the Olympic was not bigger than the Titanic, but their other sister ship, Britannic, was the biggest.
No. The Olympic made its maiden voyage on June 14, 1911, 10 months before Titanic launched its maiden voyage. But the Olympic and Titanic are sister ships because they were built in the same class and nearly all of its interior was exactly the same. The Titanic was only a few inches bigger than the Olympic
Technically, they were virtually the same size, but she had an enclosed promenade deck (that Olympic did not) claiming more air on her inside, becoming an increase in mass.
No. "Normandie" was about 120 feet longer than "Titanic", it was also almost twice as big as "Titanic" in tonnage.
No. The Britannic was launched 2 years after the death of Titanic and since several improvements were added to both the Olympic and Britannic lifeboat wise, the Britannic became at least 3 inches larger than the Titanic.
Titanic, compairing a blue whale to most cruise ships is like comparing the size of a motorcycle to a school bus.
During The Titanic's time it was the biggest ship around, closely followed by its sister ship "The Olympic"

Actually, the Britannic was 3 inches bigger than the Titanic
Though the ocean liner RMS Titanic is heavier in terms of displacement, the battleship USS Missouri is longer, taller and wider.
It cost more than £15600 to build the titanic
There is now, but in the Titanic's time (1912) there was not. The Titanic was even bigger than all of the buildings in its time!
Technically, they were virtually the same size, but she had an enclosed promenade deck (that Olympic did not) claiming more air on her inside, becoming an increase in mass.
Actually they built 3 Olympic-class liners. There were 3 ships of the same design known as the Olympic class. The 1st was Olympic, the 2nd was Titanic and the 3rd was Britannic. It does take a long time to build ships like this but the Olympicc and Titanic were built side by side with Olympic started three months before Titanic so that the shipbuilders could move from one ship to the other as soon as they finished one stage. The completion of Britannic was delayed by the sinking of Titanic, so that safety modifications could take place. It was the largest of the three, two feet wider than the Titanic.
