First sung by Tex Ritter(John Ritterthe actor's father) in High Noon then made famous by GogiGrant.Looked this up on Imdband found it not to be true. The only three songs in "High Noon" were, "High Noon," (sung by Tex Ritter),"Battle Hymn of the Republic," and "Buffalo Gals."As far as I could tell, looking the song up on Wikipedia, there is no notation of the song ever appearing in a movie.Apparently used in several movies according to IMDB. These include: Varsity Blues, The Right Stuff, Ready to Rumble, Heart of Dixie, Trading Hearts, Milk Punch. With that list you might have missed hearing it in a movie. This is the page on Wikipedia I referred to:(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wayward_Wind) , and I looked again--it does not mention any movies this song appeared in. What page did you access? But, it apparently, was not usedin "High Noon," as the person in the first sentence stated.
probably 'singing the blues' by guy mitchell or 'the wayward wind' by gogi grant
