There may be copies in existence; there is a story that a copy was made for the Queen of Sheba's son and that the copy was swapped with the original and taken back to, what is now, Ethiopia where it remains, according to legend, to this day in Axum. No-one is allowed to see the box, so it's impossible to to say if it is a copy or is actually even there.
