Good manners, like charity, begin at home. Always say please and thank you. Excuse yourself when you leave the room, or must interrupt someone, whether they are speaking or occupied. Don't expect to be served, but ask others if they need anything. Defer to your elders or superiors, and any objections or opinions can be stated in a respectful manner. If you should find yourself in the unfortunate position of being in a disagreement with someone, don't let it degenerate into personal denigration of the other person.
