Latex paint weighs about eight to nine pounds per gallon. Oil base paint is slightly lighter. These weights are wet, when paint dries on a surface it will weigh considerably less.
it weighs a ton. The weight of a horse
There are a couple ways you can do this, but I think this is the easiest:First, you need to get 1 digital scale, 1 PosiTest DFT paint thickness gauge, 3 gallons of brightly colored paint, 1 paint tray, 1 paint roller (preferably with extension handle), and 1 empty paint can. Tare the digital scale and weigh 1 gallon of the paint, the paint tray, the paint roller, and the empty paint can. Starting with the side of the room opposite the door, begin carefully painting the floor with light strokes. Use the paint thickness gauge to make sure you only apply the paint to a thickness of 6 mils. If you need more paint, don't hesitate to run to the store to get some; you can leave this calculation and come back to it later. The thickness has to be very uniform to get a good area calculation, so use the gauge to test every 12" front to back and left to right. Make sure you don't step in any paint, or you'll have to re-weigh everything and start the painting all over again. When you are finished painting, re-weight the partially empty paint can (or cans), the paint tray, and the paint roller. Now, subtract the weight of the new paint tray and roller from that of the used, to get the weight of the paint still on them. Then, subtract the weight of the empty paint can from the weight of a full paint can to get the weight of just 1 gallon of paint. Finally, subtract the weight of the empty paint can from the weight of the partially empty paint can, for each partially empty can, to get the weight of the paint still in the can (again, for each can.) Add this to the weight of the paint still on the roller and tray. This is the total weight of paint you didn't use. Multiply the weight of just 1 gallon of paint (from the first subtraction) by the number of cans you opened, and divide the total weight of paint you didn't use (the previous subtraction) by this number. This is the fraction of paint you opened, but didn't use. We want the fraction of paint you did use, so subtract the fraction of paint you didn't use from 1 to get it. Now, look on the back of the paint can and find the area that one gallon covers at one coat. One coat of paint is 6 mils, so multiply the number of open paint cans by the area that each can covers at one coat, and then multiply that by the fraction of paint that you used. This number is the area that you painted. You should have painted only the floor of the room, so our calculation is complete. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done.
A paint horses in adult form weigh around 2000 punds
Empty 2lb
No, this weight tree has several protective paint layers that protects it against rusting.
no difference
Cheap, poorly made paintballs are the hardest to break, therefore could hold the most weight on top of them.
It is usually around 1,000 pounds.
Spray cans are filled by weight and not volume and it would depend on the size of the spray can, but it should take about four to five 12 oz net weight cans of spray paint to equal approx a quart of paint. How much makes it on the project and how much ends up as over spray depends on the painter.
Anti carbonate is widely used as an extender in paints, in particular matte emulsion paint where typically 30% by weight of the paint is either chalk or marble.
the thing that weighs a gallon is a gallon of WATER or a gallon of milk.
There are a number of different things in paint, so coming up with a molecular weight isn't possible. The solvents and dryers are blended with all kinds of pigments from as almost as many sources as their are colors. That's thousands of different chemicals in the pigments alone.
