An element, such as lead with its 82 protons per atomic nucleus, does not have a mass number, although it does have an average atomic mass, which for lead is 207.2. This is constituted from four lead isotopes that are radioactively stable. The isotopes have mass numbers of 204, 206, 207, and 208.
Percentage composition= (mass of the element/mass of the molecule)*100 The fraction of the molecule's mass that comes from the element's mass
the Atomic Mass in g/ml is the molar mass of the element

Thalium is a metal element. Atomic mass of it is 204.
Thallium is a meta element. Atomic mass of it is 204. Atomic number of it is 81.

Thallium (Tl)
You would add 200+203+209 and get 612. Then divide 612 by three. (612/3) to get that the average atomic mass is 204.

This is actually a very, very easy question to answer. Now, all atoms of the same element have the same number of protons. Otherwise, they wouldn't be the same element. For instance, if lead had one more proton, it would be bismuth, a non-toxic shiny metalloid. If it had one less, it would be thallium: a deadly poison which was only recently found. Lead has 82 protons. When the number is given by an element name (e.g. lead-204), it is also showing the atom's nucleus' mass number. Natural lead contains lead-204, lead-206, lead-207, and lead-208. Each of these contains the same number of protons, but different numbers of neutrons, hence the mass difference. To find the number of neutrons, N, we subtract the number of protons, Z, from the mass number, A. So, 204 - 82 = 122. Lead-204 contains 122 neutrons.
the mass of protons + the mass of neutrons = mass of the element
Thallium 204 turns into lead.
The mass of an element is known as it's ATOMIC Mass.
