Quarks are fundamental particles, and three of them make up the particle group we call the baryons. The two common baryons we encounter are the proton and the neutron, which are composite particles made of of three quarks each. The proton is composed of two up quarks and a down quark, and the neutron is composed of two down quarks and an up quark. Baryons, along with mesons, are a part of the hadron family of particles. Atoms are made up of three main subatomic particles. These are protons, which are positively charged, electrons which are negatively charged, and neutrons which, as the name implies, are neutral. The protons and neutrons reside in the nucleus, whereas the electrons are found in the space around the nucleus.

Atoms are made up of protons, neutrons and electrons. However, each of these subatomic particles is made up of smaller subatomic particles such as quarks.

What is A particle not made up of other particles?

subatomic particleIn physics or chemistry, subatomic particles are the small particles composing nucleons and atoms. There are two types of subatomic particles: elementary particles, which are not made of other particles, and composite particles.

by definition, yes. All atoms are made of "sub"atomic particles.

What are the subatomic particles of manganese?

Subatomic particles are the same for all substances that exist everwhere. So to ask "What are the subatomic particles of manganese?" is really not a good question. Manganese is an element. And like all elements, it is made up of atoms. Atoms are made up of.......subatomic particles! (Moledule)(Cation)(Ion)===>Element====>Atom====>Subatomic particle The are three basic subatomic particles: protons, electrons and neutrons. If you really want to get anal about it, you can also find out what neutrons are made up of. I would tell you, but I forgot!

All substances are made up of atoms, living or nonliving. Atoms do have subatomic particles though.

What combines to make an molecule?

Atoms combine to form molecules and atoms are made of subatomic particles (protons, neutrons & electrons).
