I would think it to be a Physical Change. Not chemical.
i think it would be physical because it is still energy.
Exothermic chemical reactions release energy in the form of heat and sometimes light. A common example would be the combustion (oxidation) of methane*:Methane: CH4 + 2O2 -----> CO2 + 2H2O + Energy (heat and light)* The combustion of methane (natural gas) is commonly used to heat water, cook, and to heat homes.
it would be heat to light or chemical to electrical to light
If you mean changing one element into another, like uranium 238 into plutonium 239, which happens in nuclear reactors, the word is 'transmutation'. Otherwise many chemical reactions form new substances, without the elements involved changing, and these would be called 'chemical reactions'.

you fart on a candle....
reaction of na [sodium] with water or air
Its a chemical change hottie
Exothermic reactions. E.g. combustion, oxidation
chemical change because there is release of heat, light and energy.
synthesis
Yes, although a matchstick produces heat as well as light. Anything that you burn or eat is chemical energy.
Heat absorption is a physical change. It can cause a change in state and/or a temperature increase, but the matter that is absorbing the heat does not change. It retains all of its physical and chemical properties that it had before absorbing the heat.
light
thermal enery cause it produces heat *and light and sound
