It may have been more widely distributed but Fleischer Animation Studios were producing cartoons with sound prior to Steamboat Willie.The first Fleischer short w/ sound was Come Take a Trip in My Airship from January 1925 & the first with sound synchronization was My Old Kentucky Home in 1926.
