This could actually describe a few different elements. While most people would probably think of gold first (it's very valuable and is commonly used in jewelry, platinum and titanium jewelry cost more and are definitely available. Silver is also considered a valuable element which is used in jewelry, but it is only semi-precious and is therefor much cheaper than the others.
