Laura Elizabeth was born in the Big Woods of Wisconsin to Charles and Caroline Ingalls, a younger sister to Mary and an older sister to Carrie, who's real name was Caroline after her mother. One of Laura's siblings many do not know of is Grace, Laura's little sister. She was born, I think, in the Kansas territory, but I'm not sure on that. Laura lived a childhood of adventure. Her family was forever on the move West. From the time when Laura was approximately six to approximately fourteen, she traveled across the Western frontier from Wisconsin to De Smut, and saw all that lay in between. To find out more, I strongly suggest you read Laura's books, the Little House Series She can tell you best!
Laura Ingalls Wilder had a challenging childhood marked by frequent moves, poverty, and harsh living conditions as her family settled in various locations across the American frontier. Despite these hardships, she drew on these experiences to write the beloved "Little House" book series, which captured the struggles and joys of pioneer life in the 19th century. Through her writings, she has left a lasting legacy celebrating the pioneering spirit of early American settlers.
Laura Ingall's childhood was extremely interesting and chronicled in the children's book series "The Little House" books.
