What STD can be cured by antibiotics?

The treatable sexually transmitted infections (STIs) that are commonly seen in the USA include bacterial vaginosis (BV), trichomoniasis, syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia. Gonorrhea, in particular, is beginning to show resistance to several antibiotics and in some parts of the world (the Far East) it has become very difficult to treat. For this reason, and because prevention of STIs are still better than treating them afterwards in terms of your health, not to mention the STIs that are not curable (HIV/Herpes simplex virus), it is still strongly recommended that you have safe sex and abstain from all sexual contact for 2 weeks after you are diagnosed and treated to prevent spreading infection.
