ohannes Brahms was a German composer of the Romantic period.

He can also be classified as the "classical" Romantic composer due to movements composed in Sonata Form, and also composing strict counterpoint as influenced by J.S. Bach. (As shown in his six pieces Op. 118 Rhapsodies, Ballades, Intermezzi etc.)
