When you go up to university to study you become an "Undergraduate"

When you have passed your final exams but not yet received you degree certificate, you are a "Graduand"

When you get your certificate you are a "Graduate" of the university.

If you stay on and do more study at the university you do so as a "Postgraduate" student.
