Another is Aposematic Coloration. This is when an animal will have bright coloration like stripes or spots that warn predators it is potentially toxic. These animals don't try to blend in, they let the predator know eating them would be a bad idea.

they can use a defense/diversion, ie a skunk spraying musk and octopus' ink cloud. animals can also use camoflauge to hide from prey. Looking further down the line: Natural selection will allow faster animals that get away to leave more offspring therefore making the population of the species faster.
