Let's look at some of the polar bears assets that help them survive in the arctic:
So if they moved to the desert, they would die of sunstroke right now.
Changes...
Polar bears simply cannot survive without their ice. If they changed even a bit, we would call them something like, Desert Bears! They cannot adapt very easily to a new environment. Sadly, at this rate, the polar bears will soon only survive in zoos... It's horrible, really.
No adaptations would ready any polar bear for the desert. It would have to become, genetically, morphologically and physiologically an entirely different bear. It can no longer have the black skin nor the clear, hollow hairs, it must become much smaller in size, and it can no longer eat fat off of seals because no seals are found in the desert. It would have to adopt a diet very similar to that of the black bear--omnivorous, not carnivorous, eating everything from reptiles to bugs to various edible desert plants it comes across. It would have to know the best times to come out and forage is at dawn and after dusk.
It wouldn't survive long.. Imagine this:
A polar bear has thick fur that allows it to survive the harsh cold weather, now the polar bear has been put into a dfifferent environment where the fur is of no use, and there isn't much food or water for the polar bear to survive on.
Actually, polar bears do live in a polar desert. Not all deserts are hot. While most people think deserts are hot, we actually have cool deserts as well as cold deserts. Both the Arctic and the Antarctic are considered to be cold deserts because of their low humidity and low annual precipitation.

Polar bears do live in a desert. A desert is not defined by temperature but by precipitation and humidity. The polar region where the polar bear lives is classified as a cold desert so the bear would not have to adjust at all. It is already living in a desert. There are hot deserts, cool deserts as well as cold deserts. Some are hot in the summer and bitterly cold in winter. Some are cold all year long.
They would need the same adaptations as a camel, because camels live in the desert and have adaptations for living there.
they can not they are use the cold of course
Polar bears do not live in the desert. The inhabit the tundra and Arctic ice pack.
it would die
Yes, it would survive in a desert. As some people would say a desert is a hot, inhospitable place to be, but a desert is a place with nothing in it, so that means that the arctic and Antarctica is a desert.
A desert is not good for a polar bear because it can't help it live. For example polar bears eat fish and other animals so if they lived in the desert it would be most likely that they wouldn't be able to find food and soon enough they would be extinct. Hope I helped :)ANS2:That question presumes that polar bears don't do just fine in a desert...The frozen wastelands of the north are a form of desert because they have little liquid precipitation and plant life is scarce. Polar bears aren't found in any large numbers in other habitats.
No because it is hot in Hawaii. Polar Bears only live in the Polar Regions of the World.no
Polar Bears live in Alaska because it is one of the coldest and without ice and snow polar bears would have nowhere to live. Thick coats This answer is all wrong just type it in to google to find it out
Any geographical location in which the climate is not suitable for polar bears (i.e. desert). However, one exception to this is zoos- polar bears can be at zoos where their climate and habitat are artificially created and sustained for them.
yes polar bears would. think polar bears would love there cubs as if you love your children
There are no polar bears in Antarctica. If there were, they would eat the penguins.
they would either die because of the temperature rising which they wouldn't be use to or they would adapt to it over a period of time
I guess it would be other polar bears if your a male. For the females it would maybe be other meat. GO POLAR BEARS!
No, why would someone even ask this question if they know, Polar Bears would just eat the dogs since Polar bears are carnivores
The 3 polar bears.
Most of the ice in Antarctica is on land. It is not the one-metre-thick ice of the Arctic that Polar Bears need for the hunting habitat. There are seals in Antarctica, and also penguins, though both of these are much faster in the water than polar bears. They would have to adapt to a different style of hunting, and this might not be possible.
