seems to me the more things you put into something to make it easier to use or operate, the more potential for failure you have. in a mechanical control system the components are fairly easy to identify and repair with a minimum of mechanical knowledge...and maybe a manual. It is also cheaper to repair and maintain than electronic controls. simplicity is the key to longevity (historically speaking). HOWEVER...electronic controls are capable of the same modulated control as a mechanical control... sometimes even better, think of an electronic fuel system on a car. the computer regulates everything from timing to fuel flow and much much more. when you ease on to the gas pedal the car responds accordingly but the whole time the computer is doing the majority of the work in the form of thousands of calculations every minute, but if that computer ever fails, it can be hard to diagnose without a Scan Tool, and expensive to replace. in addition, the components must be protected in an electronic system... free from moisture, dirt, extreme heat, and electromagnetic forces. mechanical systems..? if it squeaks you generally just have add oil.
hi
Advantage is that you can hit a ball further while the disadvantage is that it is harder to control or change the swing
One advantage of material management is the ability to control pollution. A disadvantage to material management is the fact that it can be a complex area of business.
Advantage: Electro-mechanical systems are reliable and durable, with the ability to handle high loads and harsh environments. They can provide precise control, feedback, and position sensing. Disadvantage: Electro-mechanical systems can be more complex and expensive compared to purely mechanical systems. They may require maintenance due to wear and tear on moving parts and can be sensitive to environmental conditions like temperature and humidity.
disadvantage: some are more complex than others because of the buttons. advantage: it has a big analogue stick in the middle so its easier to control.
One major advantage of feedforward controls is that it prevents large disturbances in your output. A disadvantage is that it may not account for all potential disturbances in the input, leading to large disturbances in the output.
One advantage of budgetary control is the fact that managers can control spending. A disadvantage to budgetary controls is that it may limit innovation.
The advantage of using the thermostat is so you don't burn or scorch your clothes when you are using it. An iron can become very hot quickly.
One disadvantage of traditional control techniques often create distance between managers and employees. Modern control techniques have the disadvantage that they can create ambiguity in roles. The advantage of traditional control is that is creates a sense or order.
One disadvantage to the narrow span of control is the fact that it may take the leader a while to make a decision, which slows the organization.
•Advantage: unlimited, the more you save the more you have to spend •Advantage: You have full control of your personal savings and you decide what to do with it. •Advantage: no interest •Disadvantage: it takes time to save up money • disadvantage: temptation to spend some of your savings is never too far away.
One disadvantage of early humans learning to make and control fire was the increased risk of accidental burns and wildfires.
