At the age he was officially a man, he left his job and began his ministry of teaching.
No, not by all. Some people found his teaching hard to accept and they left him based on their inability to accept it.

He simply gave the people what they asked for, he personally believed Jesus was innocent so he left the decsion for the Jewish people.
All His disciples alive at that time were left behind and all the other people on the earth at that time.
Jesus lived and died as a Jew. Thus, he used the Hebrew Bible (often called the Old Testament by Christians), and he frequently quoted from it. It should be noted that Jesus left no writings, so we only have what his followers wrote about him many decades after he died; but as a Jew and as a teacher of religion, Jesus was well-acquainted with the Hebrew Scriptures.
Jesus was not lost. When his parents were finished with their dealings in the city, they left with a large entourage, and assumed that Jesus was somewhere in the group. Jesus made His way to the Temple to teach what He knew. It was several days later that Mary and Joseph found Him at the temple expounding scriptures and teaching the elders. Jesus knew He was about His fathers' business. Not Joseph, but the business of God, His father.

Joseph who left Jesus in Mary's care did not think too much of little Jesus. He left after failing to get Jesus accepted into Egyptian priesthood. If Jesus was Supernatural then Joseph may have stayed and tried to do more to enhance Jesus's gift;
