The highest recorded IQ is no longer listed in the Guinness Book of World records. Various applicants had standardized scores in the range of 170 to 220.Although hailed as having "the highest IQ", the columnist Marilyn vos Savant (born 1946), she scored this on the Stanford-Binet test at the age of 10. The result of 228 is often rounded to 230.

First, you take the test. It depends on how well you answered the test. By this I mean if you answered it like a 22 year-old that is your mental age. Then, you divide your mental age by your real age, next, you multiply that by 100.

The concept of mental age was developed by French psychologist, Alfred Binet. He created the first practical intelligence test called the Binet-Simon scale.
Alfred Binet died on October 18, 1911 at the age of 54.
Alfred Binet is most known for developing the concept of mental age and the first intelligence test, the Binet-Simon scale. His work laid the foundation for the development of the concept of intelligence quotient (IQ) and the theory that intelligence can be measured and predicted.
Philippe de Broca died on November 26, 2004 at the age of 71.
"It was then that Alfred Binet came into picture. Binet was passionate about testing and measuring human capabilities. He tried to understand 'intelligence' through intense trial-and-error testing methods. He worked with two groups of students - average & mentally handicapped. Binet discovered that there were certain tasks that average students could handle but the handicapped students could not. Binet then calculated the normal abilities for students at each age and pinpointed how many years a student's mental age was above or below the normal. The Paris educational authorities came across Binet's work and were largely impressed by it. In 1904, the French government commissioned him to find a method by which they could differentiate between intellectually normal and inferior children. Binet conducted the test on Paris school children and created a standard based on his data. For example, if 80 percent of 9-year-olds could pass a particular test, then success on the test represented the intelligence level of a 9-year-old. This led to the development of the Binet Scale, also known as the Simon-Binet Scale in recognition of Theophile Simon who assisted Binet in his work. They devised a formula and calculated the IQ based upon their formula: IQ = Mental Age/Chronological Age X 100" More information and history in related links
Jacques Philippe Marie Binet died on May 12, 1856 at the age of 70.
According to Portraits of Pioneers in Psychology by Kimble and Wertheimer, Binet died on October 18, 1911 died from a stroke at the age of 54.
Administering IQ measures is within the scope of psychology. Contact a local psychologist (not psychiatrist-- that is different) and inquire. There may be instruments that will better meet your needs than the Stanford-Binet.

Alfred Binet and Theodore Simon created the first standardized intelligence test in 1916. Francis Galton made the first attempt to create such a test before them, but was unsuccessful in creating a test because he could find no correlation between physical development and mental development. Binet and Simon created a test that would require participants to give answers that would relate to their "mental age", meaning that the more advanced the question, the more likely an older participant would be able to answer correctly. This mental age reflected the mental ability of a child. If a child had a higher mental age than his/her chronological age, (for example, an 11 year old scores a mental age of 13) then the child was considered gifted or mentally advanced. If a child had a lower mental score than his/her chronological age, (for example, an 11 year old scores a mental age of 10) then the child was seen as underdeveloped or mentally retarded.
