Zimbabwe has a great variety of native wildlife. Mammals include commonly known beasts such as elephant, lion, buffalo, hippopotamus, rhinoceros, gorilla, chimpanzee, baboon, giraffe, zebra, warthog, lynx, aardvark, porcupine, fox, badger, otter, hare, bat, shrew, and scaly anteater.
