The hard drive in your computer has one or two very strong magnets. Also there are two very strong magnets in the magnatron of most microwave ovens. CAUTION! If you attempt to remove the magnets from a microwave make sure you have some knowledge of the insides. There is a capacitor inside that must be discharged. If you happen to touch the capacitor you could get a very deadly shock as this capacitor stores an enormous amount of voltage that may or may not be discharged. There are magnets in the door seal on the refrigerator and freezer. Speakers from most any stereo, tv, radio, etc. have them. Headphones, telephone ringers, door bell solenoids, shower curtain weights, and many other items. Most are permenant magnets, but some are electromagnets.

∙ 13y agoAll electric motors use magnets to function. This magnetism, however, is only strong within a couple centimeters of the motor so if you try to stick something to your blender, nothing will happen.
