There are many more than 10 elements, without any of them, life would be difficult, if not impossible.

Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Sodium, Chlorine, Potassium, Calcium, Sulfur, Phosphate.

That's 10. But there are Iron, Copper, Magnesium, Chromium etc... that are necessary for some enzyme and protein functioning.

Those elements form: water, sugars, acids, bases, proteins, enzymes, hormones, cell membranes, membrane channels etc....

And they form nutrients that your body's cells use for energy to power cell reproduction, maintaining an electrolyte gradient, cell signalling, intracellular messengers, and so much more.

How do you calculate biological age?

Here is a website that purports to calculate a biological age. They don't explain their methodology, but it seems to be calculated as something like: Your current age MINUS your personal life expectancy (estimated from your family history, health behaviors, etc.) PLUS the US life expectancy for a person of your age and sex . It is not clear how good the estimate of your personal life expectancy is, but my biological age is 10 years below my current age, so it must be right, right? http://www.preventdisease.com/healthtools/articles/health_age.html

1 List four major types of organic compounds?

The four major types of organic compounds are: lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids. All organisms are composed of these compounds. Answer: But then again there are alcohols, esters, aldehydes, sugars, aminio acids, cellulose, vitamins, various neurotoxins, glycerine, glycol, mercaptans, methane, aromatics, starchesHello,As a PhD Organic chemist and professor, there are roughly 10 million known and cataloged organic compounds and the classes of them far outnumber 4. What percentage of energy is lost in each trophic transfer?

The ten percent law suggests or implies that exactly 90% of the energy is lost in the transfer at each trophic level, and that only 10% is passed on as useable biological energy.

Are there fewer elements than compounds?

No. There are only a hundred or so naturally occurring elements from which many, millions of compounds are made. A compound is a combination of two or more elements. There are far more compounds than there are elements.

Elements are the basic building blocks of matter how is it possible that there are hundreds of thousands of different kinds of matter when there are just 112 elements?

There are just 10 digits and they can make up an infinity of numbers. There are only 26 letters of the [Roman] alphabet, but there are hundreds of thousands of words. So this should not even be a question!Elements combine with one another to form compounds whose properties are quite unrelated to the separate elements or to other compounds formed from the same basic elements. Just think of the range of different compounds made from carbon and hydrogen. Also, technically there are now 118 elements though some are too short lived and unstable to form compounds.

How do you indentify the elements in a compounds chemical formula?

Elements identify what is in the formula. Everything starts as an element, wiether its 1 or 10.

Why are the elements of groups 1 and 7 in the periodic table of the elements mostly used in the form of compounds?

The element's group's 1 to 7 are : 1)Hydrogen 2) Heline 3)Lithiume 4)Bery limb 5)Born 6)Carbon 7) Nitrogen 8)Oxygen 9) Florine 10)Neon _______________________________________________________________ i think so 1 to 15 are almost used in the compounds. Thank You,
