Basically the book twilight is about a human and a vampire falling in love. To put most of the events in a nut shell, Bella Swan (the human love intrest) moves to Forks Washington to live with her dad. She goes to high school and meets Edward Cullen ( the vampire love intrest) and at first they don't get along because - well he wants to suck her blood, but at the same time he doesn't really want to suck her blood wich is why he does everything he can to stay away from her,plus the Cullens are "vegatarians" and don't drink human blood. But eventually they realize that it is impossible to stay away from each other and hook up. When she goes to play baseball with the Cullen family she gets descovered by the "bad" vampires and everybody saves her. And like all books it has a happy romantic ending!
