∙ 14y agoProbably the first key factor to bear in mind is that the person is a person before they are anything else. It is probably also useful to see the autistic spectrum as a sliding scale of many complex conditions with so-called 'normality' at one end and virtual catatonia at the other end. The majority of 'autistic' people lay somewhere between the two states but every person is an individual and their particualr personality traits and requirements will be individual to them.
