4 things that organisims compete for to meet their needs..... 1. space 2. food 3. water 4. shelter These things are all limited in an ecosystem, which is why competition occurs.
Animals are the same as people, but just with 4 legs, and they are a living thing, just like YOU !
Behaviors that help animals survive include finding food, marking a territory, defensive action, courtship, and parenting.
food, water, shelter, and air
Animals eat other animals or plants to survive by taking in the nutrition those things have taken in. Plants get what they need to survive from sunlight (photosynthesis), water, and soil. And then humans eat those things to survive using their fats and nutrients for our own benifits.

Every organism NEEDS 4 things to live. 1. Water. Self-explainable. 2. Food. It's an energy source. 3. Living Space. All organisms need space to obtain food and water. 4. Stable Internal Conditions. Organisms must be able to keep their body stable, even when outside conditions change. (Like System Regulation a.k.a. Regulation of body temperature.) Everything else, is what certain species need to survive. But those 4 are the basics for all organisms. EVERY living thing needs these things.
