i think around the western part of mobile county close too the Mississippi line. reason i say this , is because the other night on a Thursday we felt a tremor that shook the place, no one else knew what it was, we have felt it twice at night on different occasions.

There is one major fault line that runs through Alabama and the rest of the gulf coast. This fault line is called the Quaternary fault. There hasn't been a major earthquake since 1916.

Several million years ago there was an earthquake near the Mississippi River, but I am unsure if it was near Alabama.
