Bruce Lee (lee jun fan) learnt Wing Chun style of Kung-fu from the great teacher, Late Yip Maan. He also observered various styles to drop the classical touch/ mistakes in his kungfu. He learnt Short stick and Nunchaku from his fried Dan Inosato, an Asian martial artist. He was also very knowledgeable in karate techniques and Jhon Rhee was a friend.
Later on he developed his own style and , just to address it, he called that as Jeet Kune Do ( The way of the intercepting Fist).

Bruce Lee was OFFICIALLY trained in Wing Chun, and Boxing, however, some of his Boxing was self-taught, as he tended to watch footage of champs like Joe Louis to try to discern their movement patterns to incorporate them into his Kung Fu. He was a Boxer and Wing Chuner, with selected techniques from Tae Kwan Do, Karate, Savate, Muay Thai, Judo, Jiu Jitsu, and some Wrestling. What I mean is, Boxing and Wing Chun were his primary foundation, the above named styles, he chose techniques he felt worked best. Also Bruce Lee's street fighting strategy was simple; get so close blocking is useless, hit them as hard as possible, in as many places as possible, as fast as possible. Basically, his strategy was all about infighting; he generally considered all other strategies to be "bullcrap" that "didn't work," and felt that in street fights, infighting was the only way to go. Bruce Lee's "strategy," was in fact very simple; he felt that the only way to win a street fight, was to get in close before the other guy did, while unloading a lightning fast barrage. Regardless of the size difference, Lee stated to let go of all fears, and to just keep unloading until the other guy falls. For the people fool enough to challenge him to see if his skills were real, that is often how the "fights" ended. I use quotes because witnesses of such events could not legally call them "fights," Lee was infamous for dropping his opponents in seconds.
