There are three different types of muscles in the body: Skeletal, smooth, and cardio. All muscles are made up of fibers from the molecules actin and myosin. These fibers can be seen with the aid of the electron microscope. Skeletal muscles can be moved voluntarily, and control parts of the body which you can move at will. (Arms, feet, fingers, etc...) Smooth muscles are controled by the central nervous system. Smooth muscles control parts of the body not governed by voluntary action, but by the brain and hormones. This includes the stomach, small intestines, pacreas, etc.. Cardio muscles are found only in the heart. These cells are programmed to "beat" from the beginning. In fact, many lab tests have shown that cardio muscles grown outside of a test animal will actually start to "beat" together as their numbers grow.
cardiac muscles
the heart, the stomach
I believe the heart is made out of muscles
Heart muscles have their own category and are known as "cardiac muscles." The muscle layer of the heart is known as the "myometrium."
cardiac muscles
Almost entirely.
The heart is made up of cardiac muscles.
Because the heart is made up of only muscles
No. Cardiac muscles are involuntary while skeletal muscles are voluntary, meaning you have control of the arm muscles, but not the heart muscles.
Heart I believe
The heart is primarily made up of cardiac muscle tissue, which is a unique type of muscle that is only found in the heart. This muscle tissue is responsible for the rhythmic contractions of the heart that pump blood throughout the body.
Yes, the heart is made of muscles, however, these muscles do not all contract at one time. They contract in synchrony and when they contract they squeeze the chamber they surround such are the atria or ventricle and blood is pushed out of the chamber.
