In March of 2005, a new species was found 7,000 feet below sea level. It is blind. It has hair-like cillia on its arms. It lives near volcanic vents in the sea floor. It was named the "Yeti Crab".
Commercially available crabs are delicious, yet expensive.
A Japanese spider crab can get up to 40 pounds and measures 14feet across!

Mostly asian shore crabs, Mud crabs,Rock crabs, Donut Crabs and Spider Crabs. I believe there are no freshwater varieties.
