There is not going to be a difference in your brain by memorizing all fifty states and capitals. Many generations have did this and there have been no ill effects on the brain.
Listing all the country names in alphabetical order would be too extensive for this format. However, you can find an alphabetical list of all countries on the internet or in a comprehensive atlas or reference book.
Sing them in a song. It really does help or draw them on your wall.
