Electric device means a device which works by using electric power or current and it's working principle or working area is shown whoever sees it. Where as electronic device means it can work by consuming electric power or battery power, but we can not see the working principle , i.e , how it is working ,and just we see the result. Electronic devices are preprogrammed and it consists of chips (which are small pieces, encapsulation of programs.
electrical mainly deals with the methods of power generation and its large -scale uses like usage in industry , houses etc. It mainly deals with the power generation and power transmission AS i said earlier electrical mainly deals with the power generation from either thermal power sattion or hydro-elctric power station,it also looksafter in which phase the power must be generated 3-phase or single phase (mainly). Its another important concern is transmission of power using various types of Transformers to either domestic supply or industrial supply . Electrical also takes care of the utilization of power in various types of machines (motors) etc etc.
electronics on the other hand deals with the smart usage of power like a transistor is operated at a DC voltage source of 12v and even less . electronics is mainly considered to be logical and easy compared to electrical but concept must be clearly understood. further , electronics gets divided into two streams a.
a.communication :- it deals with transmission of various signals and the ways to achieve processed using digital signal processing , conversion of analog to digital etc.
b. manufacturing :- this is the most trending branch of electronics where the subtopics like VLSI and NUERAL technologies are discussed here , VLSI deals with manufacturing of electronic components like our CPU processor, LCD ,LED ,plasma tv use VLSI technology which extremely decreases the power consumption , size and increases the components efficiency, and nueral technology deals with creations of robots and other stuff like cyborgs this is the most advanced part of electronics
MY OPINION
In my opinion if you are asking this question to choose the branch in engg college i would prefer electronics , because electrical is very difficult and routine (there is nothing new in this branch .It is like very 'ready made' to me just be clear with problems and do the calculations this is the success mantra of electrical) to score and it is not like if you read concept and present the paper you would get good score , you need to practice hard .In electronics subject is easy and very interesting so even if you dont give enough practice to the subject you can score good marks as this subject is quite new so many inventions are yet to be made so many companies are there waiting to hire you . So there is no issue with job placements
in electrical we deal with motion of uncontrolled electron, while in electronics we deal with controlled electron &in electrical applied voltage is very high than electronics.
Electronic circuits contain active components that can amplify, electrical don't.
An electronic stopwatch gives a higher accuracy than a mechanical stop watch.
The difference between an electronic organ and an electronic piano is in the sounds produced. Sometimes, on the higher end models, the electronic piano will have a piano touch, weighted keyboard.
Its all electrical, but referring to electronics would be solid state devices such as tiny resistors ,tranistors soldering work found on devices such as Computer chips and Vehicle ECU's
Electrical Circuit:An Electrical circuit is that which is a connection of conductive wires and other devices whereby the flow of electrons occurs.Electronic Circuit:An Electronic circuit is that which contains at least one active element in a single circuit; whereby the flow of electrons is controlled by another electrical signal. One definitionOne view point is that "Electrical" relates to the development and delivery of the electrical energy to the various devices that perform specific functions in a given environment. Example: The alternator in your car that series of wires delivers electrical power / energy to various components (radio, the computer that monitors / controls operation of the engine) in to-days cars. Where as "Electronics" relates more to the complex functions performed within a given device, more often now days by circuits comprised of many micro electronic sub components that make up the structure of a single micro electronic component. Example: a typical CPU chip would / could contain thousands of individual transistor circuits within a device no bigger that the size of your small finger nail with room to spare. In short: electrical circuits handle transfer of energy - electronic circuits handle transfer of informationwhat is the main difference between electrical and electronics ?In short: electrical circuits handle transfer of energy - electronic circuits handle transfer of informationRead more: http://wiki.answers.com/What_is_the_difference_between_the_terms_Electrical_and_Electronics#ixzz1RmeXS2Zv
spunk tastes good
A: The difference is PASSIVE / ACTIVE

An electronic circuit is a network of interconnected electronic components composed of one or more loops coupled that is designed to perform some useful function. The major difference between an electronic circuit and an electrical circuit is that the electronic circuit contains active components that can amplify and/or switch signals and/or nonlinear components that modify signal shapes, while electrical circuits contain only passive linear components in most cases.

Electronics: The hardware of some thing electrical Electrical: To have electronics
Electrical force actually acts on electrical charges.
electronic it is only electrical if you can plug it in
