She was born in 69BC in Alexandria.

Cleopatra was the daughter of Ptolemy XII. She inherited the throne because she was the eldest child when her father died.

At age 19, she became Queen of Egypt.

Cleopatra was mostly known for her famous death. She wanted to kill herself but Octavianus would not let her. He wanted to walk around showing he had captured Cleopatra proudly. People would throw stones at her. Cleopatra even tried starving herself but Octavianus threatened her to eat or he would kill her sons. So she planned her death . She told her servants to bring her a basket of figs from the green grocer and hide a snake at the botton of the basket. At the age of 39, in 30BC, Cleopatra was bitten by a snake and died a proud queen. She was the last pharaoh of Egypt.
