Sarcophagi are stone coffins often associated with ancient civilizations, particularly the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. They were typically elaborately decorated and used to house the remains of the deceased, reflecting beliefs in the afterlife. The term "sarcophagus" comes from the Greek word meaning "flesh-eating," as some types of limestone used in their construction were thought to decompose the body. Sarcophagi can vary widely in size, shape, and material, often serving as significant archaeological artifacts that provide insight into the cultures and practices of the societies that created them.

Usually, a mummy Pharaoh is found inside a sarcophagus but for most sarcophaguses, the Pharaoh inside is stolen and sold for a fortune. For some sarcophaguses, the whole sarcophagus is stolen also with the Pharaoh.
there are two sarcophaguses were created right after the first person died second fact, they were only used for pharaohs and kings.
Do you mean, 'sarcophaguses? These were decorated or inscribed with scuptures, and are pretty much like a coffin today.
There should be some little sarcophaguses in order on the little painting on the wall in the lower middle. In whatever order they are in, is the order that you should pull them down with the levers.
Yes. Improved Answer Sometimes. Most times a tomb robber would take every thing so there wouldn't other than that yes.
Hehe Well unfortunatley you can't buy sarcophaguses unless you own a museum XD and still it would be quite hard anyways ... there in no way to buy one srry :(
The sarcophagus was a very important part of the burial of an Egyptian. Its markings and beauty on the outside reflected how well the person inside lived (in terms of wealth). Buried withing the sarcophagus was the mummy and the canopic jars (holding the mummy's organs) so the sarcophagus had to be built sturdy and durable to keep the dead protected. Pets and gold may have also been buried along with the mummy, though probably not within the sarcophagus. Plus, the sarcophaguses of ancient Egyptians have given us a look back into the art and culture of the Egyptians. So I would say they were very important.
