1. Creation

One thing that convinces me is anatomy. Our bodies are incredibly complex and I just cannot believe that we happened by accident. It's just amazing how all the atoms, molecules, cells, organs and systems work together to enable us to be able to do so many different things. Our brains alone are incredibly complex and difficult to study. Human beings aren't even capable of creating something so complex from scratch so how could it have happened by accident?

The perfect physical make-up of Earth also makes me think there must be a creator. The temperature/ climate, the distance from the sun, the exact way the Earth spins, the percentage of oxygen in the air, the amount of gravity.. If anything was slightly off, life wouldn't be able to exist.

2. Historical evidence

Four different people wrote accounts of Jesus' life (4 gospels). It's not just one person claiming they saw something. These people were willing to die for their beliefs. I wonder what sort of a person would be willing to die for something they just made up. In fact a lot of the early Christians gave their lives to follow Jesus.

There are many many ancient copies of New Testament writings (in Greek). There are many more ancient copies of New Testament documents than there are of other ancient documents (e.g. the Iliad, Aristotle's writings, Plato). Also, the time span that occurred between the writing of the original New Testament documents and the copying of the

oldest copy we have now is relatively short. The same time span with other ancient documents is generally a lot longer - yet we don't tend to question the authorship of these documents..

Evidence that Jesus actually existed is in the New Testament and in ancient documents that aren't part of The Bible. The fact that he existed can't really be questioned - what it would be reasonable to ask is - "Who was he?" And the answer to this can be found in the Bible, which is quite a reliable source.

3. Jesus himself

Read Jesus' teachings. They're amazing. His radical ideas about forgiveness and love are worthy of following.

My answer probably doesn't do the issue justice. I recommend reading the book "Religion is for Fools" for a better answer.
