There are no disadvantages I can think of other than, if you want to run Widows programs you will need to install Windows on your Mac and then dual boot. Of course when you do that the Apple computer will be just as easy to infect as any Windows PC. There also are not as many games created for the Mac OSx.
While there are many advantages to Apple computers, they do also have disadvantages. Apples are not compatible with a lot of PC software for business as well as recreation. Apples also tend to be more expensive.
One of the main disadvantages of the iMac computer is that it is not compatible with Windows based programs. One can purchase and install Windows but that is an added cost. The iMac is also more expensive than other computers and the extended warranties are more costly.
1) OS X runs only on Apple made hardware, significantly reducing the portability of the OS.
2) Macintosh computers are significantly more expensive than PCs.
3) Macintosh computers don't have as much customization options than PCs.
4) Gaming software is often released much later for Macintosh computers than for PCs.
well, here are two: 1. integrated graphics. (no hard core games) 2. high price.
The only thing I can think of is there are not as many games for Mac as there are for Windows. There is also no cheaply built Macs.
An iMac is a computer, but a computer is not necessarily an iMac, so they are not the same thing.
