∙ 10y agoIgneous rocks are those which have formed from cooling lava. Sedimentary rocks are those which have been formed from sediment, underwater. Small particles of sediment can eventually stick together and create a new rock. Metamorphic rocks are those which were a different kind of rock, that changed into the current variety. Metamorphosis is change.
