Press a print is definitely not a scam. My husband purchased equipment a few months ago -- didn't do a whole lot for the first while but has now started working hard and is getting business. In fact, I'm surprised at how receptive people are.
But there are a few things you should keep in mind:
1. Business will not come to you. If you don't like finding and talking to people and thinking of creative ways to help them promote their business, you will have a hard time of it.
2. It really helps to have at least a basic knowledge of graphics. If you don't, your first few months will be spent learning that instead of making money.
3. You have to set your hours each day and work. If you wander around your house washing and fixing and wondering what you should be doing, you'll fail. Treat yourself as if you are your own employee. Say "would I pay me for what I'm doing right now?"
4. Have a way of supporting yourself while your business gets going. And have some to pay up front for your first orders -- until you establish credit with the companies you'll have to pay up front but you may have to wait for your money.
The company (Press a Print) is supportive, and there is a big database of other people doing this business. With a few exceptions, they are all very very helpful on everything from where to purchase products to helpful ideas for specific cases.
If you want to a business with the potential of making you a good living, (and that you can do from home) it's a good choice, but only if you understand that you have to work for your living. Another opinion:
