I think one of the best hotels in Waikiki is the Park Shore (Aqua) Waikiki Hotel, it is right across the "wall" where all the surfers surf (boogie boarding or Surfing)
You can get these rooms from $90 to $130.
This hotel is also the closet to the waikiki beach, ocean front

Hotels include Waikiki Grand Hotel for $115 per night and Ambassador Hotel Waikiki for $129 per night. These are cheap when compared to other hotels. For example, Aston-Waikiki Beach Tower requires $475 for just staying 1 night. This is not including a person's other vacation expenditures.
