Electricity is the flow of charged particles (often electrons), hence it flows easily where there are many 'spare' electrons (as in transition metals).
An electrical insulator is something that does not have very many of these, for example the group 8 elements have a full outer shell, no electrons are 'free' as this process requires.
Plastic insulates electricity.
Rubber is one, I think,I dont know anyting else
Several things are good insulators of electricity. A few are rubber, wood, porcelain, mica, paper, Teflon, glass, and fabric.
There is no hundred percent insulator in this cosmos. Yet we use porcelain, rubber, mica, plastics as insulators in electrical and electronic devices.
Plastic, rubber, glass, and the vacuum of space.
Glass, plastic, wood, rubber
name the 3 insulators of electricity

PLASTIC, RUBBER AND GLASS
For Current(Electricity) to travel through an object valence electrons are required. Most metals have valence electrons hence are good conductors of electricity. In case of glass and wood free electrons are not present hence electricity does not flow through them.

A material or an object that does not easily allow heat, electricity, light, or sound to pass through it. Air, cloth and rubber are good electrical insulators; feathers and wool make good thermal insulators.
The diffrerence between a good condutor and a bad conductor is that a good conductor it go through electricity but a insulator would not attract electricity .This will help to prevent electricuted.
In general, metal or anything else that conducts heat or electricity well is a bad insulator.
Plastics are a good electrical insulators because they are insulators. Electricity could not pass through them unlike copper. Another good example of insulators is rubber.
because insulators don't conduct any electricity but conductors do conduct electricity
plastic, glass, and rubber_porcelain, wood, and yeah rubber
They are called insulators. Rubber is an example of a good electrical insulator.More:PlasticGlassAirWoodCeramicPorcelainPaperVarnishMineral OilSlateMarblePolyethyleneSiliconePVCKaptonTeflon
Because insulators are the opposite of conductors and therefore electricity and heat do not pass through good insulators.
plastic, glass and rubber
Insulators are very good at holding static electricity. I hope this helped!

No, quartz is an insulator. * actually i disagree, quartz CAN conduct electricity, that is y they use them in radars, radios, and tv's. :)
metals are good conductors of electricity. plastic and wood are insulators. they do not conduct electricity
Perspex is brand name for the poly (methyl methacrylate) and is not a good conductor of electricity.
