The best remedy i ever used was Day/Night Nurse. You have to beg the person behind the counter to give it to you as they prefer if you buy something with no active ingredient so that you keep coming back. It consists of 3 (2 tablets) doses of day relief and a dose that you take just before going to bed (makes you sleepy). There are 3 days worth in a pack and i have never had to buy a second one. ∙ 14y agoI got the flu, i took tamiflu it helps, but the med sucks. The side effects gives u headaches and tireness, also tryed thermful, ask ur docotor bout this.

∙ 14y agoThere are none that I am aware of that are prescribed. The common cold has to run its course. To ease the symptoms, can try Advil Cold, Tylenol Cold, Mucinex, Theracold, Robitussion..........
