What are some possible reasons for my period being 12 days late?

i experienced very long periods just prior to menopause. i was 45 at the time. my doctor recommended at womb scraping or also called D&C which i had done. lucky me never saw that red river again. i think your question could be well addressed by a doctor many things might be wrong. best of luck.

If this is the first time it has happened, the bleeding was light for most of the duration, you are entering menopause or got your first period within the last year, then it may not be cause for concern.
