Brushing and flossing is very important. If you floss it makes your gums stronger and it prevent Periodontal Disease. Going to the dentists every 6 months is very healthy because your dentist can detect a problem if there was one. so flossing, brushing twice a day, no sodas like mountain dew and no Hawaiian punch are a few ways to protect your teeth . Remember if you are a gum chewer chew sugarless gum.

you can stop it by eating less sugar and bushing your teeth with floride tooth paste. You must floss, if you brush your teeth too much and too hard it will break down the enamel of the teeth. It is best if you use a soft bristle brush and floss. Flossing is better than brushing. Also use listerine which will help get rid of bacteria in your mouth

This may seem a little obvious but the best way to help prevent tooth decay would be to brush your teeth regulary! Brush your teeth in circular motions holding the toothbrush at a 45 degree angle to the gum. It is just as important to brush our gums as well as our teeth as this is were tartar will build up first. A build up of tartar will cause tooth decay. Do not press too hard on your gums when brushing them as it will cause receeding which will make your teeth sensitive. Also, brush your tongue or use a tongue scraper. Cleaning your tongue will also help prevent bacteria build up in your mouth which means less tartar. Clean your teeth at least twice a day. preferably before bed as this is the time bacteria in the mouth is more likely. Visit your dentist every 6 months for a check-up this can also help prevent tooth decay and your dentist will also be able to advise you on toothbrushing. Not very many people brush there teeth properly. Happy brushing!!
