The cardiovascular system is a component of the circulatory system (the other component being the lymphatic system) and consists of the heart, blood vessels and blood. Its 3 main functions include:
1. Transport of oxygen and nutrients toward and wastes away from cells of our body
2. Immunological protection of our body from foreign organisms and substances
3. Maintenance of homeostasis including the regulation of body temperature, blood pressure, electrolytes and water balance.
Because the cardiovascular system interacts with other organs of the body in a complex fashion, you cannot simply state that it has one main or overall function. Like most organ systems of the body it serves several vital roles which are necessary for the survival of the organism. However, in terms of IMPORTANCE, the function of transportation (of which oxygen if often cited as essential) would probably rank as paramount above the maintenance of homeostasis and immunologic protection.
The circulatory system consist of the heart, blood vessels, blood, lymph, and the lymphatic vessels and glands. Two of its functions are to transport oxygen and nutrients throughout the body and the waste removal of carbon dioxide.
Transport- Transportation of oxygen, nutrients and hormones to cells and removal of metabolic wastes such as carbon dioxide, heat and nitrogenous wastes.
Regulation- Of body tempreture, fluid pH and water content of cells
Protection- By white blood cells, antibodies and complement proteins that circulate in blood and defend again foreign microbes and toxins. Also white blood cells clot when body is injured.
Transporting oxygenated blood to the different organs and muscles of the body so their cells can respire, and to transport deoxygenated blood to the lungs to pick up oxygen.
> The molecule in blood that allows it to pick up Oxygen is haemoglobin, When it has Oxygen it becomes Oxyhaemoglobin.
getting oxygen and passing blood around the body
The 2 main point of the circulatory system are:
to carry blood around the body;
and to carry waste nutrients around.
the two functions that the cardiovascular system does for your body is your heart blood and blood vessels :)
its proper function is responsible for the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to all cell's as well as the removal of waste products.
There are two: the digestive system and the cardiovascular system.
There are bivalves in the human cardiovascular system have two "flaps" that help move the blood in one direction and prevent it from flowing back in the incorrect direction.
1. Respiratory system 2. Cardiovascular system
The cardiovascular system transports nutrients, hormones, and oxygen throughout the body.
The respiratory system and the circulatory (cardiovascular) system.
I believe it's the cardiovascular system and the respiratory system.
The systems controlling the whole human system are the vital systems in the body...they are:Airway&Breathing > Respiratory SystemCirculation >CardioVascular systemAbove two system form the ABC of Resucitation & for Maintainance of LifeThe Integrity & functional preservation of Central Nervous System are maintained by the above two systems.Preservation of Central Nervous System is the basis for a gud quality of life.
the excretory system helps homeostasis and keeps the body free of toxic wastes
the two parts of the cardiovascular system are heart and blood vessel
1) Transport of oxygen into the body 2) Transport of carbon dioxide out of the body
cardiovascular system mainly, which will help with your aerobic endurance (also, depending on your situation, anerobic). Also, your muscular system. :)
The cardiovascular and respiratory systems are two different systems in the body, though they are closely related. The cardiovascular system is made up of the heart, blood vessels, and blood. The respiratory system is made up of the trachea, bronchii, alveoli, and the lungs.
