Arteries and Veins. Arteries carry blood away from the body and veins bring it back. There are also Capillaries which link the two together.
Artery and vein. There's also the small capillary where diffusion takes place.
Arteries and veins
The two main blood vessels leading out of the heart are the pulmonary trunk and the aorta.
There are four main types of blood vessels in the human body. There are arteries which are elastic vessels that transport blood away from the heart. Then there are veins which are elastic vessels that transport blood to the heart. Next, there are capillaries which are extremely small vessels found within the body tissues that transport blood from the arteries to the veins. And last, there are the sinusoids which are extremely small vessels found in the liver, the spleen, and in bone marrow.
The two main parts are the heart and the blood vessels
The heart and the blood vessels
Veins and Arteries. Most people would know this =)
Two types of blood vessels are arteries, which carry blood away from the heart, and veins, which carry blood towards the heart. There is also a third type of vessel called a capillary which is neither artery nor vein but connects the two and is the site where oxygen, nutrients, and wastes are exchanged between the blood and the tissues.
it has two arteries along with a single vein
they are blood vessels .they are of two types - arteries ,veins
skin surface (integumantary system) and the lungs (alveoli) .
what are the 2 sets of blood vessels
There are two main types of circulatory systems:1. Open2. ClosedIn an open circulatory system, blood mixes with internal organs directly. Organisms with this type of system do not have a true heart or capillaries. Instead of a true heart, there are blood vessels that act as pumps to force the blood along. Instead of capillaries, blood vessels join directly with open sinuses. In a closed circulatory system, blood is pumped through a closed system of arteries, veins, and capillaries.(:
Arteries - distribution arterioles - adjust blood pressure capillaries - exchange gas and nutrients with cells veins - collection and return blood to the heart. Also portal veins - connect two sets of capillary beds (there are 4: intestine to liver, pituitary gland, kidney, pampiniform plexus (embryonic structure))
